1. Who we are
RepSaved ("we", "us", "our") is a reputation-management service that helps local businesses request the removal of negative Google reviews. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information when you visit repsaved.com, contact us, or engage us as a client.
For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, RepSaved is the data controller for personal information processed in connection with our website and services.
2. What we collect
Information you provide
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, business name, role.
- Case details: the URL of the review(s) you want removed, the business listing, screenshots, communications you send us, and any context you share about the dispute.
- Booking and call data: when you schedule a consultation through our embedded scheduler (Calendly), we receive the information you provide to that scheduler.
- Payment information: when you pay our flat fee, payment is processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We receive a record of the transaction (amount, date, last four digits of the card, billing zip) but never the full card number.
- Correspondence: emails and messages you send us are retained as part of your case file.
Information we collect automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, timestamps, and similar diagnostic data.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see section 6.
Information from third parties
If you arrive at RepSaved through an advertising partner or referral, we may receive limited attribution data (e.g., the campaign or partner that sent you). We may also access publicly available information about your business listing in order to assess your case.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide our service: review your case, communicate with you, prepare and submit removal requests through legitimate channels, and process refunds when our 48-hour guarantee is triggered.
- Operate the website, schedule calls, and respond to inquiries.
- Process payments and prevent fraud.
- Improve our service (debugging, conversion analysis, and product research) using aggregated or anonymized data wherever practical.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share your case details with anyone outside the parties strictly necessary to deliver the service.
4. Legal basis (EEA/UK users)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the service you have engaged us for.
- Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, and improve the website and prevent fraud.
- Consent: for non-essential cookies and marketing communications, where required.
- Legal obligation: to comply with tax, accounting, and other applicable laws.
5. Sharing and processors
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run RepSaved, each bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Calendly — call scheduling.
- Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, and security.
- Google Workspace — email and document storage.
- Analytics providers — aggregated traffic measurement (see section 6).
We may also disclose information when we are legally required to do so (court order, subpoena, or to comply with applicable law), or when necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our clients or others.
If RepSaved is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use RepSaved.
- Strictly necessary cookies: required for the site to function (e.g., security, load balancing).
- Analytics cookies: aggregate usage measurement so we can improve the site.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may affect parts of the site.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy:
- Case files are retained for up to 3 years after the engagement ends, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
- Payment records are retained for the period required by tax law (typically 7 years).
- Marketing contacts are retained until you unsubscribe.
8. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest where applicable, principle-of-least-privilege access controls, and routine review of our processors. No system is 100% secure, but we treat your information as carefully as our own.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your personal information ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention obligations.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Receive a portable copy of your information.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@repsaved.com. We will respond within 30 days.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have additional rights including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
10. Children
RepSaved is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
RepSaved is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. or other jurisdictions where our processors operate. Where required, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved transfer mechanisms.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be notified by email to active clients or by a prominent notice on the site.
